EMPHASIS ON EVANGELISM by Oscar Woodall "... to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery" Eph. 3:9a
SOULS ARE DYING.....DO YOU CARE? Do you truly believe everyone you know or meet is either "in Christ" or "in Adam?" Saved or lost? Final destination, heaven or hell? Your brother or sister in Christ or your friend? In God *s forever family or in Satan*s family with potential of living forever separated from God and the love of Christ? If you believe the former, how do these beliefs and convictions impact your day to day life and actions? Do you pray for lost loved ones and extended family as well as friends, neighbors, business associates, school mates, and other acquaintances that they may be saved? Paul, our apostle (Rom. 11:3) and pattern (1 Tim. 1:16), provided our example as recorded in Eph. 6:19, "And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel." What are your action plans for 1999? As you review and take inventory for 1998, are you able to identify those you personally introduced to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you know where they are and how they are growing or struggling? Are you satisfied in your ministry of personal evangelism? If not, what are your plans to increase and improve your growth and involvement in this area of responsibility? Does your pastor or teacher provide leadership by example in his life, messages, and action plans to win the lost, or have you and others with whom you assemble "gone into the ditch" of excessive study without seeking to fulfill the responsibility of "soldiering" by "getting into the trenches" and cooperating with God, as Paul wrote to Timothy, "Who will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. "(1 Tim. 2:4)?Through Eternal Life Ministries, we have books, tracts, and tapes to further equip the saints in the ministry of personal evangelism as we seek to get God *s Word spread abroad by LIFE, LIP, LEAFLET, AND ELECTRONICS. ‘But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts" 1 Thess. 2:4.
